CHESTER, Pa. – In conjunction with SIDEARM Sports, the Widener University Athletic Department unveiled a redesigned website for the Pride on Wednesday morning.

"Widener Athletics and the Communications Department is extremely excited to redesign our website," said Greg Spicka, Director of Athletic Communications. "We were able to work with the SIDEARM team to pull off our envisions of a new Pride look while not sacrificing what best fits our departmental needs. As a result, the new website creates a one-stop-shop for the Pride community with a continued bright look and increased functionality."

"We look forward to continue providing the Widener community with an exciting digital experience," said SIDEARM Sports President and Founder Jeff Rubin. "The SIDEARM team, along with the incredible Widener team, is dedicated to innovating for Pride fans everywhere during our partnership."

The new Pride website features a large story preview screen, a bright background with blue and gold accent triangles, an updated video wall, a newly integrated Widener Social Media Wall, and photo galleries all accessible with a simple click on the home screen.

The Sports dropdown menu has been redesigned to show all sports without having to scroll with a unique Widener gold highlight animation. Within each sport specific page, user will be able to follow along with their favorite team's social media via the Widener sport specific social wall, view updated schedules, rosters, and record books.

Inside Athletics has been adjusted to include administrative links for the Pride while the Student-Athletes page has been improved to include new resources for Widener athletes and prospective student-athletes.

In addition to the new features on the main page, Widener Athletics has created an easy solution for Pride fans with a new Fan Zone page. Fan Zone will house Widener Athletics social media accounts, the Widener World of Sports podcast, the Widener Digital Network, and all information regarding game day needs.

We want to thank our Project Zachary Moquin, Designer Kimberly Sullivan, and Account Manager Michael Bielak for guiding us through the redesign process and look forward to continue working with SIDEARM Sports for future Pride visions.
