CHESTER, Pa. – Widener women's basketball is heading back to the MAC Commonwealth postseason. They will see the Lebanon Valley Dutchmen in the first round.
The Pride had a 10-15 record in the regular season, with a 7-9 record in conference games. They are coming off a 76-67 win against the York College Spartans on Saturday. Widener also had the third-best offense in the conference, scoring 59.4 points per game.
The Dutchmen come into this game with a 13-12 record and a 9-7 record in conference games. In their regular-season finale, Lebanon Valley lost 55-49 to the top-seeded Messiah University Falcons.
The Pride and the Dutchmen faced off twice this season, with both games resulting in Lebanon Valley victories. On Jan. 11, the Dutchmen got a narrow 61-59 win at Widener on a buzzer-beater. On Feb. 8, the Dutchmen won 68-60 on their home court.
Senior
Jordan D'Ambrosio was the star of the Pride this season. She averaged a team-high 13.8 points and 1.1 blocks per game. D'Ambrosio was second on the squad with 2.2 assists and 1.04 steals per game. She scored at least 20 points three times this season.
First-year student
Mia Robbins was a strong presence in the frontcourt. She averaged 11 points and a team-leading 8.2 rebounds per game. Robbins recorded seven double-doubles in points and rebounds for the Pride.
Sophomore
Mary McFillin gave Widener an offensive boost off the bench. Her 24 threes were third-best on the team, and she showcased great defense. Against York on Saturday, she had a season-high 26 points and five triples.
The winner of this game will play on Wednesday to take on Messiah, who is on a 20-game winning streak.

Ticket prices are as follows: $6 (adults), $4 (senior citizens), and $2 (students with valid ID and children). Preschool children under six get in for free (with an adult).
