HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST PENN STATE BERKS
- Mary McFillin started the game with a layup on a Gianna Samuels assist. Widener would go up 8-0 before Penn State Berks had their first basket. McFillin would later score two shots in a row to increase the Widener lead to 12. Penn State Berks would not come close to taking the lead away, as the first quarter ended 23-7.
- A pair of Mia Robbins foul shots started the second quarter. The Pride continued to show no mercy, as a 12-0 run pushed the Penn State Berks' deficit to 28. The Nittany Lions would earn a few points back at the end of the half, but a Lindsay Kutz three with two seconds left made the score 44-17 at the half.
- Triples by D'Ambrosio and McFillin opened the second half. The Nittany Lions' struggles carried over into the second half, but their highest-scoring quarter of the game was the third (13 points). The Pride's defense held strong for the remainder of the quarter, and it ended with a Lia Samuels three on a Kaitlyn Meenan assist. The score was 67-30.
- The final quarter started right away with an Aubrey Curley layup. Both sides had some misses in the early stages of the fourth quarter, but Widener would snap their cold spell with an Avalynn Baer layup at 7:14. Kimberly Casiello had three of her four steals in this quarter, which was tied for most on the team. The Pride would never allow Penn State Berks back into the game, and the final score was 79-37.
