GLENSIDE, Pa. –
Jimmy Knepp scored a pair of goals to highlight the Widener men's lacrosse team in its road game against Arcadia on Wednesday afternoon. The Pride dropped a 17-5 contest to the Knights.
The loss put the Pride at 1-3 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ARCADIA
- The Pride gave up the first three goals of the game to the Knights before Knepp got them on the scoreboard with 1:15 remaining in the first quarter after scoring off an assist from Zach Politarhos.
- In the second quarter, Knepp scored his second goal of the game and Connor Heisman added a goal, but the Knights put in four goals in the period to take a 7-3 halftime lead.
- Bryant Maits scored a goal in the third quarter and Politarhos put one in the back of the net in the fourth, but that would be all the goals the Pride would get in the second half.
- Keegan Billie led the team defensively, making nine saves in the second half and picking up six ground balls. Tommy Fredericks also played well on the defensive side, causing six turnovers.
- Adam Oldrati won 11-of-22 face offs (50 percent) for the Pride.

The Pride will be returning to Chester to host Elizabethtown in non-conference action on Saturday. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
