CHESTER, Pa. –
Connor Heisman tallied a hat trick to highlight the Widener men's lacrosse team in its home contest against Elizabethtown on Sunday afternoon at Elizabeth J. Hirschmann Field at Leslie C. Quick, Jr. Stadium. The Pride dropped a 13-6 contest to the Blue Jays.
The loss put the Pride at 1-4 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ELIZABETHTOWN
- The Pride played a tough first quarter, as they were tied with the Blue Jays after the first 15 minutes. Heisman scored both goals for the Pride in the period off passes from Jayce Dyer.
- In the second quarter, the Blue Jays fired in five goals while the Pride only received a score from Heisman to fall into a 7-3 halftime deficit that they could not overcome.
- Mike Kala'i scored a pair of goals and Zach Politarhos had one goal in the second half for the Pride. Kala'I scored off a pair of passes from Heisman.
- Keegan Billie and Andrew Spencer both made five saves apiece while splitting goalkeeping duties.
UP NEXT
The Pride will be hitting the road Wednesday to face Washington College in non-conference action. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
