READING, Pa. – The Widener University rack and field team competed Alvernia's Last Chance Meet on Saturday.

The men's 4x100 meters relay team of
Will Gould,
Justin Bromley,
Omaji Odey, and
Matt Ludlow won the event with a combined time of 43.72 seconds.

In the men's sprints,
David Johnson's time of 51.95 seconds in the 400 meters secured him first place. In the 200 meters,
Michael John and
Justin Bromley finished second and third with times of 23.69 and 23.79 seconds, respectively.
Brandon Jackson took third in the 100 meters, crossing the finish line in 11.78 seconds.

Theresa Kervick placed first in the 400 meters, crossing the finish line in 1:01.87. She also placed third in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 19.08 seconds.
Bryan Deery and
Pat Carolan grabbed the top two spots in the men's 5000 meters with times of 15:52.16 and 15:53.72, respectively.

The Pride dominated the men's long jump, securing the top three finishes.
Matt Ludlow took first with a distance of 6.59 meters while
Valiant McKee and
Dylan Caputo took second and third with leaps of 6.17 and 5.85 meters, respectively. Caputo also placed second in the triple jump, logging a distance of 12.54 meters. In the pole vault,
Timothy Nilsen took third with height of 3.55 meters.
Conrad Howell rounded out the men's field events, placing third in the shot put with his 11.28 meter toss.
In the women's long jump,
Dani Peyton finished third at a distance of 4.74 meters.
