Lycoming responded with an 11-3 spurt, going up 20-17 with a minute remaining in the opening frame. A pair of free throws by
Nicole Barnes with less than a second left in the stanza ignited a 9-0 run for the Pride, who took a 26-20 lead at the 8:24 mark of the second. Once again, the Warriors battled back, this time, tying the score at 32-32, but layups by D'Ambrosio and Schenk pushed WU back on top 36-34 at halftime.
The Pride began to open a tight game just past the midway point of the third quarter as a 16-6 span to end the frame extended Widener's lead to 66-54 at the end of the period. Leading the way in the push were Ireland and D'Ambrosio with four points each. Netting the first four points of the final 10 minutes, the Blue and Gold moved on top 70-54.
