Stacey Vaitis, following a standout four-year career, is in her fourth season as Widener’s assistant coach. Vaitis was a mainstay for the Pride’s defense, helping the team to two Commonwealth Conference Tournament appearances and a berth in the 2006 ECAC South Tournament. A tenacious defender who teams changed their mindset around, Vaitis started all 78 of Widener’s contests from 2004-07. She helped the Pride to a 42-30-6 record over her four years, including 37-19-5 the last three campaigns. Vaitis ended her career with four goals and three assists for 11 points. She graduated Widener in 2008 with a degree in Elementary Education.
