Nico Alexopoulos enters his fourth season as an assistant on the staff of the Widener University women's soccer program. He brings seven years of coaching experience to the Pride.
Working primarily with the goalies, Alexopoulos helped mold the last line of defense to one of the best in the conference. In his four years as goalie coach, Pride keepers have finished in the top-10 in the conference in total saves and have finished top-five in shutouts. Alexopoulos has played a major in recruitment and developing game plans. When he is not working with the Pride, the Jackson, N.J. serves as the director of coaching for the Jackson Soccer Club and the US Youth Futsol Academy NJ.
Since his arrival, WU has posted a 20-15-3 record, reaching the first round of the MAC Commonwealth Tournament in both seasons.
