Rose Katz is in her third year as an assistant coach for Widener.

Katz arrived after playing four seasons for DeSales. She helped the 2007-08 squad win the Freedom Conference and advance to the NCAA Tournament’s "Sweet 16" to face eventual national champion Howard Payne.

The Bulldogs her freshman campaign notched a 23-7 record, winning the ECAC South championship. That began a four-year stretch in which DeSales went 84-33.

Katz played basketball and softball for Eastern High School in Voorhees, NJ. She was named All-Olympic Conference in both sports and also was captain of both teams her senior year.

She also coached six years the Philadelphia Belles Under-16 Girls AAU Team. The squad won the 2008 Boo Williams Tournament and was runner up at the Washington DC National Championships.

Katz resides in Berlin, NJ.
