Brendan Grady

    Assistant Men's Soccer Coach

Brendan Grady is in his second season as Widener’s assistant coach. He arrived after a stellar career at Swarthmore, where he was a four-year starter and a two-year captain. He was named MVP of the 2007 ECAC Tournament, helping the Garnet win the title. Grady’s goal in the 89th minute helped tie the final against Frostburg State, which Swarthmore won in the second minute of overtime. He also was tabbed third team All-Mid-Atlantic Region, second team All-Centennial Conference and selected to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team. Grady also was a member of California North Olympic Development Program’s A Team (1999-2003), captained the San Juan Predators to the US Club National Championship and the Santa Clara Ruckus to the Y-League National Championship. He also started as a sophomore for Bellarmine College Preparatory’s 25-0 season in 2002, during which the team was ranked first in the country by every high school ranking site. Grady has his USSF "D" license and is a trainer for Nether Soccer Club’s U-13 and U-11 boys’ teams.
