Tyrone Lewis is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Pride.  He competed one season in Germany and served as his team captain.  He also was the head coach of the U-16 team champions.  Lewis also completed professionally in Israel in 2010.  Lewis competed at Niagara from 2006-10, ending as the school’s leader in 3-pointers and steals as well as its third all-time leading scorer.  He is the only player in Purple Eagles history to have 1,500 points, 500 rebounds, 200 steals, 200 three-pointers, 200 assists and 76 blocks.  He was picked first team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in 2009, second team in 2008 and to the All-Rookie Team in 2007.  Lewis graduated Niagara in 2010 with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Criminal Justice.
