Powell Miller is in his first year as the Pride’s wide receivers coach. Miller in 2009 was the wide receivers coach and the offensive quality control coach at Appalachian State, helping it to its fifth straight Southern Conference title. He was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Kentucky Day School from 2006-08, notching three state playoff appearances and three second-place finishes in the conference. Miller had two of his quarterbacks named first team all-conference and a running back tabbed honorable mention all-state. He also was the player personnel director from 2004-06 for the Louisville Fire of AF2, which won its division in 2004 and 2006. Miller played quarterback for Missouri Southern State University in 2004 and the University of the Cumberlands in 2005. He graduated from the University of Louisville in 2009 with a B.S. in Sport Administration. Miller and his wife, Ashley, recently were married.
