Widener University Athletics

Nick Cirone is in his first season as Widener’s offensive line coach. Cirone arrives from Malvern Prep, where he was an assistant coach in 1984 and again from 1986-2008. He also was the offensive coordinator at Upper Darby High School in 1985, the head coach at West Catholic High School from 1977-83 and a coach at Jules Mastbaum School from 1968-1976. Cirone served on the Philadelphia All-Star Game Executive Board from 1975-1986 and was its director four years. He also was a 10-year member of the Pennsylvania Football Coaches Association and was on the Coach of the Year Clinic Board for 14 years. Cirone has taught for over 35 years and has held a real estate license since 1985. He earned his BA in Business Administration from Hiram Scott College and received a Special Education certification from Penn State.
