In accordance with University policy, masks will be optional in nearly all locations on our campuses. Masks will continue to be required inside all university healthcare clinics, including Student Health Services, but will no longer be required in any other indoor setting or in university vehicles.
Anyone who wishes to continue wearing a mask for any reason is encouraged to do so. Because “We’re all Widener,” we will respect individuals’ decisions and treat them with sensitivity.
The University will continue to closely monitor campus case trends and community transmission rates. If numbers increase, it may require us to return to broader masking requirements based on these metrics and CDC guidance.
WIDENER INDOOR AND OUTDOOR EVENTS
- Spectators will be permitted to attend indoor and outdoor events and are not required to wear a mask while in both settings.
For contests held at non-Widener venues, please visit the host institution's website for all COVID-19 protocols and spectator policies.
MAC POLICY:
Masking requirements may be imposed by a host institution based on institutional policy. Institutions will have autonomy to develop more stringent masking policies and may require visitors to follow campus policies that are more stringent than the standards outlined above.
MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
MAC championships will follow the spectator policy of the host institution. For MAC championship events without a host institution, the MAC office will develop a spectator policy in consultation with the facility and local health department.
