Baseball Earns Six MAC Commonwealth All Conference Selections

NEWTOWN, Pa. – Widener Baseball earns six MAC Commonwealth All-Conference selections, as announced by the conference office Monday (May 11).
 
The Pride advanced the MAC Commonwealth Championship series for the first time since 2019. They traveled to Grantham, Pa. where they faced off against the 2025 NCAA DIII runner up Messiah. Widener would ultimately fall in the Champion series, bringing their season to a close with a 22-21 (13-8) record.
 
Widener earned three first team selections, two second team selections, and one honorable mention.
 
Junior infielder Kevin Bukowski headlines the First Team selections after a historic 2026 campaign. Bukowski started 42 of 43 games played where he had a batting average of .354, an OPS of 1.198, tallied 52 hits, nine doubles, and three triples.  He would also tie two single season records, finishing with 52 RBIs and 15 home runs.
 
Sophomore infielder Brandon Yoder is the second First Team selection after his first year with the program. Yoder started in 39 of his 40 games played where had batting average of .356 and an OPS of .994. Yoder would finish the 2026 season with 47 hits which included 13 doubles, three triples, and two home runs.
 
Senior left-handed pitcher Ethan Lytle rounds out the First Team selections for the Pride. Lytle appeared in 19 games in relief this season for the Pride, finishing with a fantastic 1.75 ERA and 1.40 WHIP. He was a dependable closer for the Pride tallying 10 saves during 2026.
 
Senior infielder Ryan Bauerle earned Second Team honors after leading the Pride in hits with 59 and in batting average with a .391. Bauerle finished the season with a 1.019 OPS and would tally 12 doubles, two triples, three home runs, and 21 RBIs while also stealing 23 bases.
 
Junior left-handed pitcher Trae Sanders rounds out the Second Team selections for the Pride. Sanders was one of the Pride's conference starts this season, starting 12 games and pitching a total of 72.2 innings. Sanders would end the season with a 5.57 ERA, a 1.43 WHIP, 44 strikeouts, and a 6-4 record.
 
Junior shortstop Sean Burke earns All-Conference honorable mention after providing steady defense and offense for the Pride. Burke ended the season with a .271 batting average and a .918 OPS. He was second on the team with five home runs while also gathering 32 hits including 12 doubles, one triple, and 29 RBIs.
