HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE
The opening inning remained scoreless for both sides, with neither team able to find an early breakthrough. Alvernia Golden Wolves struck first in the top of the second, as Meryn Bellacima launched a solo home run to put the visitors on the board.
Widener Pride looked to answer in the bottom half of the inning. Liza Flavin worked a walk and moved into scoring position on a single to left field by Mia Ferraro. A groundout advanced her to third, but the Pride were unable to capitalize.
The Golden Wolves added to their lead in the top of the third with an RBI single to right field. Jocelin Mayorga attempted to spark the offense in the bottom of the inning with a double to right, but Widener could not convert the opportunity into runs.
Both teams were held in check through the middle innings, with Widener managing just one hit from Hailey Hernandez during that stretch.
Alvernia extended its lead in the sixth with a run on two hits. The Pride made one final push in the seventh, highlighted by a single to left from Brenna Quinn, but the rally fell short as the Golden Wolves secured a 3–0 victory in game one.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO
Alvernia struck first in the second inning, using an RBI single from Ava Rudolph to take a 1-0 lead.
Widener answered in the bottom of the third. Elizabeth Carney worked a walk and later came around to score on an RBI single from Jocelin Mayorga, evening the game at 1-1.
The game remained tied until the fifth inning when Alvernia broke it open. The Golden Wolves scored five runs on seven hits, highlighted by a two-RBI single from Lauren Jascewsky and an RBI double from Meryn Bellacima, to take a 6-1 advantage.
Alvernia added another run in the sixth inning on an RBI single from Bellacima, extending the lead to 7-1.
Widener threatened late in the seventh inning with back-to-back singles from Mia Ferraro and Carney, but Alvernia held the Pride scoreless the rest of the way to secure the 7-1 victory and complete the doubleheader sweep.

The Pride remain home on Tuesday, March 24, as they take on Stockton in a doubleheader. Game times are scheduled for 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
