GLENSIDE, Pa. – A night meet shows a loss for Widener Women's Swimming against conference rival Arcadia.
The 145.5-116.5 loss moves the Pride to 2-6 in the regular season and 2-3 in conference standings.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pride opened the meet with a 1-3 finish in the 200-yard medley relay.
Caroline Anderson,
Bella Fanelli,
Emily Thompson, and
Hailey Webster took first with a 1:59.34.
Tyla Block, Liv Wainstein,
Kaitlyn Fahy, and
Patsy McDonald took third with a 2:03.21.
Olivia Giambalvo won the 1000-yard free with an 11:36.14.
Megan Shallow continued the wins with a first in the 200-yard free by seven seconds. Shallow clocked a 2:01.48.
Anderson held a 2-3 finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a 1:05.83. Block would take third with a 1:08.61.
Fanelli, Thompson, and Webster held a 2-3-4 finish in the 100-yard breaststroke. Fanelli touched with a 1:14.54 while Thompson hit in a 1:15.62 and Webster close behind with a 1:15.81.
Fahy took second in the 200-yard butterfly with a 2:36.93.
Shallow's sprint in the 50-yard free showed a 26.11 to take second. An event later would show another second in the 100-yard free with a 57.10.
Block took second in the 200-yard backstroke with a 2:27.48.
Giambalvo continued the distance wins with a win in the 500-yard free with a 5:44.01.
The 100-yard butterfly showed a third from Fahy as she touched with a 1:09.03.
Webster tied for third in the 200-yard individual medley as she clocked a 2:32.42.
The final event showed the Pride taking second 800-yard free relay. Anderson, Giambalvo, Block, and Shallow touched in a 8:44.44.
