GALLOWAY, N.J. - Widener battled into extra time but came up just short in a 2–1 road match at Stockton.
The Pride drop to 4-3 on the season and remain 0-0 in conference play.

The Pride struck first in the opening quarter as Cenci found the back of the net just over four minutes in off a pass from Karly Bervinchak. The Pride defense then held strong behind goalkeeper Fithian, who turned away multiple Stockton attempts and stopped four shots off penalty corners to preserve the 1–0 lead through the first 15 minutes.

The second quarter proved to be a defensive battle as both sides generated chances but could not break through. Widener earned a penalty corner midway through the frame, but Kayleigh Armstrong's shot sailed wide. Armstrong later came up big on the other end with a defensive save to deny the Ospreys on a corner opportunity. Behind her effort and several blocked attempts, the Pride carried their 1–0 advantage into halftime.

The Ospreys evened the match early in the third quarter, knotting the score at 1–1. The Pride pressed for a response, generating a penalty corner and multiple shot attempts, including a penalty stroke. The period ended with both teams locked in a tense battle, setting the stage for a dramatic final quarter.

The fourth quarter was a hard-fought one, with both teams trading penalty corners. Stockton had several close opportunities early, but Fithian made multiple saves to keep the Pride in the game. The Pride responded with their own penalty corners, including efforts from Megan Bryk and Krista Bervinchak. But neither side could break the deadlock in regulation, sending the match into overtime.

In overtime, Stockton struck first with a goal by Carlee Thompson, assisted by Maura Somers, handing the Pride a 2-1 loss in a tough contest.
