PHILADELPHIA – Widener places three from track and field on the PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Team.
For the spring 2025 season, Widener earned two spots on the PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Team for women's track and field and one spot on the men's side. Joining the other PhillySIDA members are
Samuel Knowles (Men's Track and Field),
Gabby Nye (Women's Track and Field), and
Kayla Robinson (Women's Track and Field.
Knowles and Nye are no strangers to the team. Knowles returned for his second straight year while Nye earns her fourth team.
Following another trip to NCAA Championships, Knowles would earn a spot on the second team for All-Americans during outdoor nationals in the 400-meter dash. In the indoor season he would place 10
th overall in the 400-meter dash for another All-American run.
Nye continued her distance journey at NCAA Championships after her standout performances at conference championships. At NCAA Championships in the indoor season, Nye would garner second team All-American in the mile and another second team in the 5k during the outdoor season.
Robinson debuted herself with a fourth place finish in the pentathlon at NCAA Indoor Championships for first team All-American. During the outdoor season she would continue her strong success in the triple jump and long jump.
All would earn numerous USTFCCCA All-Region honors following their seasons.
