Isaac Almoney pushed a loaded hammer throw event at Penn Relays on Thursday afternoon.
PENN RELAYS
On Thursday afternoon
Isaac Almoney would take the circle in the hammer throw. Almoney's second attempt of a 58.03-meter throw helped him advance to finals amongst top Division I throwers. Almoney took ninth overall.
Matayo McGraw took to the triple jump pit where he was seeded into the College Men's Championship on Saturday afternoon. McGraw moved onto the finals with a 13.88-meter jump on his third attempt.
COVERT CLASSIC
Mikeal Palmieri led the way in the 200-meter dash as he clocked a 24.23.
Elijah Celestin ran a 50.58 alongside Palmieri's 52.00 in the 400-meter to qualify for conferences.
David Johnson's 1:56.51 led the Pride in the 800-meter.
Sean Derfler would pick up a conference cut with a 1:59.38.
Vincent Brown and
Austin Parks finished nearly together as Brown led with a 2:03.27 while Parks finished with a. 2:03.82.
Michael Carolan and
Andrew Moyer took to the track in the 1500-meter run. Carolan led with a 4:16.83. Moyer clocked a 4:33.27.
In the 400-meter hurdles,
Derek Rudd clocked a 1:01.26.
On the field
Alexander Szymanik jumped to a 5.46-meter distance on his second attempt in the long jump. He would continue in the triple jump as he marked a 12.09-meter distance twice.
The hammer throw featured
John Kodack as he tossed a 46.53-meter mark in his first attempt in the circle.
