Knowles and McGraw Move Into Top 10 in NCAA Rankings

HAVERFORD, Pa. & ITHACA, N.Y. – A split weekend before MAC Championships for Widener Men's Track and Field shows new top-10 rankings.
 
KEOGH INVITATIONAL
 
First year Erastus Ndirangu saw a 7.16 in the 60-meter dash.
 
In the 200-meter dash, Ndirangu marked a new personal best with a 23.75. Elijah Celestin marked a 23.76.
 
Derek Rudd saw a 53.79 in the 400-meter dash to lead with a third-place finish.
 
David Johnson took fourth with a 2:00.63 in the 800-meter run for a MAC time standard.
 
In the 60-meter hurdles, Troy Wallace clocked in a 9.21.

The quad of Johnson, Mikeal Palmieri, Ashton Ray, and Daniel Murphy ran for a first-place finish in the 4x400 relay with a 3:41.09.

Wallace would jump a 6.14-meter distance in the long jump.

Sam Knowles would capture a second overall finish in the 400-meter dash. Knowles went on to clock in a 48.45 for a new season best that would move him to T-6 in the national rankings.
 
Matayo McGraw went on to compete in three events; the triple jump, long jump, and high jump. In his triple jump he would mark a new personal best 14.67-meter distance to move into seventh in the nation. His long jump showed a 6.58-meter distance and his high jump would show a 1.92-meter height.
 
Jacob Grossman saw attempts in the same events with two being personal bests. Grossman's high jump showed a 1.80-meter height for a seventh-place finish overall. His long jump featured a 6.69-meter distance while his triple jump saw a 13.47-meter distance, both for third overall finishes and new personal bests.
 
UP NEXT
Widener will wrap up their season at the 2025 MAC Championships held on Fri and Sat, Feb. 28 and Mar. 1. This year's championships are set to be hosted by Alvernia University at the FLEX Fieldhouse in Reading, Pa.
