WILKES BARRE, Pa. - The Widener Women's Basketball team stayed unbeaten, earning a 68–52 road win over King's College behind double-doubles from Lindsay Kutz and Mia Robbins.
The Pride improve to 3-0 on the season.

Widener and King's traded early baskets before the Pride began to find their rhythm in the paint. Robbins opened the scoring with a layup off a feed from Kutz, who followed with a strong drive of her own. Metrick added a layup off the bench, and Kutz converted a fast-break score to keep momentum rolling. Widener's defensive pressure forced several turnovers, setting up a late three-point play by Jayla Daniels that put the Pride ahead 13–9 before King's closed the quarter with two free throws to make it 13–11 after one.

The Pride opened the second quarter on a run sparked by Breelynn Leary, who scored back-to-back layups to extend the lead to six. Baer and Kimberly Casiello added buckets in the paint, while Kutz continued to attack the rim to keep the offense steady. King's briefly closed the gap with a pair of threes, but Giada Palmieri's jumper and a fast-break finish from Kutz off a Daniels steal rebuilt momentum. The Lions connected on a jumper to tie it, sending the teams into halftime locked at 27–27.

Widener came out strong after halftime, using a 9–0 run to seize control. Kutz scored inside to open the frame, added a three moments later, and set up Robbins for a pair of layups as the Pride built a lead. Baer and Robbins continued to attack in transition, while Metrick buried a fast-break three to stretch the advantage to 45–36. Widener's defense tightened late, holding King's to just nine points in the period and taking a 49–36 lead into the fourth.

The Pride closed out the night with a dominant fourth quarter, maintaining control on both ends of the floor. Casiello sparked the Pride with a three to open the period, and Kutz followed with another triple to stretch the lead to double digits. Baer continued to work inside, scoring in the paint, while Robbins sealed the win with back-to-back baskets and clutch free throws. Daniels added a late layup as Widener's defense held firm, limiting King's to just 16 points in the frame to secure the 68–52 road victory and move to 3–0 on the season.
