PHILADELPHIA & BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Widener Women's Track and Field utilize Penn Relays and Covert Classic as final preparations for next weekend's conference championships.
PENN RELAYS
On Thursday,
Isabel Rodriguez took to the circle for the hammer throw. Rodriguez marked an eighth-place finish with a 51.61-meter toss. Out of six throws, her lowest would be her first attempt with a 49.33-meter throw.
Friday would feature
Kayla Robinson in the triple jump on the infield of Franklin Field. Robinson marked a distance of 11.55-meters on three attempts. She would place 21
st overall.
LEHIGH'S COVERT CLASSIC
In the 100-meter dash,
Kelly Barr led
Jayla Gore,
Erica Thomas,
Alyssa Kolimaga, and
Victoria Familia. Barr (12.85), Gore (12.90), and Thomas (13.35) would earn conference standards with their races. Kolimaga (13.95) and Familia (14.48) finished in with top 20 places.
Erin O'Brien would race to a 2:29.47 in the 800-meter run which marked a new personal best.
The 3000-meter steeplechase would feature Liz Egan who would take third in a 12:33.79 to earn a conference standard.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Barr, Gore,
Mariam Koita, and
Maria Muzzarelli ran to a 49.20 and a regional time standard.
Jillian Walker and
Anna Baukal took hammer throw tosses with Walker leading. Out of three throws, Walker marked a 33.51-meter throw while Baukal marked a 32.01. Both saw conference standards and personal bests.
In the javelin,
Theresa Kervick would take six throws with 30.31-meters being her long. Kervick earned a conference standard. Walker saw another personal best with a 24.20-meter throw.
