GRANTHAM, Pa. - Widener Men's Cross Country draws sixth of 16 in the pre-championship coaches' poll.Â
The Pride earned 161 points in this poll, falling just behind Stevens with 169. The top four teams all gained a first-place vote, starting with DeSales at fourth with 179 points and a first-place vote. Above them is Misericordia with 191 points and a first-place vote, Messiah with 208 points and two first-place votes, and Lebanon Valley with 214 points and 12 first-place votes.Â
Juniors Zachary Rementer and Tom Flear are standouts of the team and will need to bring their A-game. Both runners have made regional meets, with Flear also advancing to NCAA Cross Country Championships. Graduate Joe Nescio is also a high-level competitor for the team, qualifying for the regional meet last year.Â
This year's conference championships are set for Saturday, November 2nd, with the men's meet starting at 12pm.Â
