CHESTER, Pa. - The Widener men's volleyball team picked up a conference win over the Hood Blazers, sweeping them in three sets. The Pride honored two seniors today,
Dylan Beer and
Cole Nagle, and recognized their efforts for the past four seasons.
The Pride improves their record to 11-10, and are 1-4 in MAC Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST HOOD
The Pride opened the match with three consecutive points to start things. Able to maintain and extend their lead, Widener at one point saw a 14-point lead over the Blazers. The Pride finished the first set, winning it 25-13.
Coming out in the second set with a new libero,
Brian Connelly stepped in and helped the Pride get the ball moving. Widener saw a more back-and-forth game this set and battled for each point. Able to gain a lead and extend it, the Pride saw ten kills this set and finished with another 25-13 victory.
Looking to seal the victory, the Pride started their match up 6-1 in the first seven volleys. Pride offense saw eight kills this set and finished it with a
Nick Poulson kill from a
Cole Nagle assist. The Pride won set three 25-14 and swept the Blazers, 3-0.
