CHESTER, Pa. - The Widener field hockey team extended its winning streak to six consecutive games after securing a 2-0 victory over Stockton in a non-conference game Tuesday night at Edith R. Dixon Field.

With the win, the Pride improved to 7-2 on the season. They also notched their third straight shutout.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST STOCKTON
- The Pride scored both of their goals in the second period. Juliana Sanchez score the first goal 17 minutes into the first half off an assist by Jesse Schlosser.
- With two minutes remaining in the half, Makenzie Adamson found the back of the net and added a point to the Blue and Gold score.
- Widener took seven shots, four of which were on goal, and had six penalty corners.
- Defensively, Lily Rejrat earned her second straight shutout in goal after making three saves on the night. The first year goalie has not allowed a goal in her last 176 minutes of action in the cage.
UP NEXT
Widener will be back in action on Saturday when it goes on the road to face Messiah in a MAC Commonwealth game. Game time for that contest is 1 p.m.
