HOW IT HAPPENED
- After giving up a first period goal, the Pride rallied back in the second period. With just around six and a half minutes left in the period, Addie Troy leveled the game at one after scoring off a pass from Brooke Spadaccia. 14 seconds later, Krista Bervinchak gave Widener the lead on her third goal of the season while Paula Thompson receiving credit for the assist. Neither team would score again in the period and the score would remain 2-1 in favor of the Pride.
- Widener got a huge insurance goal from Mallozzi, scoring off a Karly Bervinchak assist just three and a half minutes into the period. The third goal would prove to be enough of a cushion, as Eastern did cut the lead to one in the third period but could not find the equalizer.
