MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - The Widener field hockey team saw its six-game winning streak snapped on Saturday after dropping a 2-0 contest to No. 11 Messiah in its MAC Commonwealth game on the road.
With the loss, the Pride fell to 7-3 on the season and 2-1 in MAC Commonwealth play.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST MESSIAH
- The Pride played tough against the Falcons, but the Falcons found the back of the net near the 12th minute and added a second goal in the 33rd minute.
- Widener took four shots, one of which was on goal by Skylar Bayard. Jesse Schlosser, Maddie Hoyer, and Makenzie Adamson also each had a shot for the Pride.
- Defensively, Lily Rejrat did her best in goal, making seven saves.

Widener will be back in action on Wednesday when it goes on the road to face Arcadia in a non-conference. Game time is 7 p.m.
