HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST STEVENSON
- The Pride played well in the first half, as they held a 14-10 lead over the undefeated Mustangs (4-0).
- The Pride jumped out to a 7-0 lead with 7:27 left in the first quarter after Cameron Hooper caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Jeff Chaplin. Hooper's score capped a 10-play, 57-yard drive.
- After Stevenson scored 10 straight points to take a 10-7 lead with 7:43 remaining in the second quarter, the Pride grabbed a 14-10 advantage after Chaplin and Matt Kain, Jr. made one of the top TD plays of the season. On third-and-7 from the Stevenson 12-yard line, Chaplin brushed off a Stevenson defensive player from sacking him, escaped the pocket, and fired a throw to Kain, Jr., who caught the ball one-handed for the go-ahead touchdown.
- In the second half, the Pride had a hard time getting anything going on offense, as Stevenson prevented them from getting on the scoreboard and only allowed 115 total yards. As a result, Stevenson scored a touchdown in the third quarter and two TDs in the fourth to seal the win.
By The Numbers
- Chaplin threw a career-high 189 yards on 19-of-35 passing. The sophomore quarterback's 19 completions also tied a career high.

- Kevin Davis led the Pride defense, as he made nine tackles (five solo, four assisted).
- Sean Reynolds and Michael Schoenleber came away with Widener's first two interceptions of the season for the defense. Reynolds returned a pick 29 yards to set up Chaplin's incredible touchdown throw and Kain, Jr.'s spectacular catch in the second quarter. Schoenleber picked off a Stevenson pass following the Widener score and returned it 10 yards.
