FLEETWOOD, Pa. – The Widener men's golf team got a taste of MAC competition on Saturday by competing in the MAC Preview at Golden Oaks Golf Club's par-72 course.
The Pride finished eighth as a team in the tournament, which ended with just one round of play after the coaches decided to cancel Sunday's second round due to inclement weather forecasted for that day. The Pride had a total score of 430.
Sophomore golfer
Billy Rodgers paced the Pride with a 26
th-place finish after shooting a 14-over 86.
James Sinnott followed Rodgers by finishing in 41
st.
Shane Headley and
Dylan Falkowski rounded out the lineup with 43
rd and 44
th-place finishes, respectively.
Widener will be back in action on Thursday when they compete in the three-day Arcadia Spring Kick Off Classic at Eagle Ride Golf Club in Lakewood, N.J.
