MOHNTON, Pa. - The Widener University men's and women's golf teams played their final tournament before the MAC Championships, competing at the Alvernia Spring Invitational on Tuesday. 

Matt Verni led the Pride with an 86 on the day, followed closely by Jackson Prater, who shot an 87. Jeremy Christ posted a 97.

Katie Stone led the way for the women with a 127.

Conference championships are scheduled for this upcoming weekend.
