CHESTER, Pa – The Widener University women's track and field team competed in the third and final day of the MAC Championships on Saturday. The Pride finished the meet in fourth place out of 14 teams with a total of 81 points.

Anna Cooney led the way in the field events by winning gold in the shot put, logging a toss of 13.99 meters.
Darby Reiss captured fourth in the pole vault with a height of 3.11 meters while
Hailey Welchans placed eighth at 2.81 meters.

Maia Semmes took bronze in the 800 meters with a time of 2:17.63.

The 4x400 meter relay team of
Theresa Kervick,
Jaden Sweely,
Maia Semmes, and
Angelica Howell finished third with a combined time of 4:07.77.

The Blue and Gold saw two top-eight finishes in the 400 meter hurdles.
Magdalyn McGlyn came in fifth with a time of 1:09.77 while
Theresa Kervick finished seventh with a time of 1:10.67.
Angelica Howell rounded out the sprints by securing fourth in the 200 meters, coming in at 26.43 seconds.

In the distance and mid-distance events,
Grace Murphy placed fourth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:19.12 while
Carly Gable finished seventh in the 1500 meters, crossing the finish line in 4:58.26.
