HOW IT HAPPENED IN GAME ONE
Stevenson got on the board first in the opening frame off a three-run shot. After four more scoreless innings for both sides, the Pride got its offense going in the top of the sixth.
Jalia Lawrence reached on an error and
Carli Benozich singled through the left side. Two passed balls and another error by the Mustangs allowed both runners to score. Finally, Cooper was sacrificed home to even the score back up at three runs a piece. A scoreless seventh inning forced the game to extras, but it was Stevenson who capitalized on a walk-off home run in the eighth to take the opener.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED IN GAME TWO
This time it was the Blue and Gold who took an early lead in the first inning. Benozich was walked and stole second while a Cooper single put runners on first and third. Benozich reached home on a fielder's choice and a Calciano hit to left field plated Cooper. Tiley scored on a passed ball to put Widener up 3-0.

Stevenson was able to tie things back up with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first and another in the third inning. Neither side found the board in the final four frames and the contest was once again sent to extras. Cooper opened the eighth with a single up the middle and Tiley followed up with a bunt that allowed Cooper to reach third. Tiley stole second on the next at bat to put two runners in scoring position. Calciano drove both of them home with a hit to center field as the Pride took the 5-3 advantage and held on to win game two.
