CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University women's track and field team hosted day two of its first MAC only meet on Saturday.
In the 4x400 meter relay, the team of
Maia Semmes,
Jaden Sweely,
Donna Holt, and
Rachel Parr secured first with a combined time of 4:14.86.

Carly Gable took the top spot out of 34 runners in the 1500 meters, clocking in at 4:53:15. Gable also picked up silver in the 800 meters with a time of 2:26.14.

In the sprints,
Angelica Howell and
Dani Peyton turned in third place finishes. Howell did it in the 400 meters and 200 meters with times of 1:04.67 and 27.24 seconds, respectively. Peyton grabbed bronze in the 100 meters, clocking in at 13.22 seconds.

The Pride locked up four top-three finishes in the field portion of the meet.
Anna Cooney turned in another strong outing in the throwing events, finishing first in the shot put with a distance of 13.08 meters and third in the discus at 33.12 meters. In the long jump,
Dani Peyton took first with a leap of 4.97 meters.
Hailey Welchans came away with bronze in the pole vault, logging a height of 2.75 meters.
