Cole Nagle posted a career-high 10 digs, but the Widener University men's volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season, falling to the New Jersey City University Gothic Knights 3-0 on Wednesday evening.

MATCH NOTES (17-25, 21-25, 16-25)
- Nagle's kill total came on 24 swings. He hit .208 for the match.
- Alex Arnow added seven kills for the Pride, hitting .235.
- Josh Matchett led Widener with 19 assists and added four kills in eight swings, hitting .375.
- Matchett also topped the Blue and Gold with eight digs.
- After falling behind by seven early in the first set, Widener rallied to bring the score back to 13-9, posting five points in a row on Zac Piotti's serve. NJCU recovered and held on to take the opener.
- The Pride started the second set strong as Matchett served WU to a 3-0 lead. Widener continued to battle and held an 8-7 lead before the Gothic Knights scored eight of the next nine points.
