RADNOR, Pa. (Jan. 16, 2016) – By recording a first-place finish in every single event, the Widener University women's swimming team registered two convincing victories in dual meet competition against host Cabrini and Wilkes on Saturday afternoon. The Pride defeated the Cavaliers, 164-39, and the Colonels by a 162-39 score.
Widener was led by sophomore
Christine Kunzler (Livermore, Calif.) and senior
Erin Neugebauer (Eden Prairie, Minn.), as each swimmer won two individual events and swam on a first-place relay. Kunzler captured the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events in times of 25.81 and 55.96 seconds, respectively, while Neugebauer won the 100 fly in 1:03.60 and the 100 breast in 1:09.07.
Melaney Heald also factored into three winning performances by taking the 100 back in 1:04.03 and swimming on both relays. The 200 medley relay clocked in at 1:59.10 and the 200 free relay hit the wall in 1:44.63. Other relay members included sophomore
Liz O'Sullivan (Somers Point, N.J.), freshman Eva Partidge (Mullica Hill, N.J.) and Neugebauer on the 200 medley as well as freshman
Kaylin Augustine (Wyoming, Pa.), classmate
Lauren Griffith (Doylestown, Pa.) and Kunzler on the 200 free.
Widener, which improved to 8-3 in dual meets and 5-1 against Middle Atlantic Conference competition, returns to the Schwartz Center for its final home of the season on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 1:00 p.m. against Arcadia. Seniors

Anne Walker (New Castle, Del.) and Neugebauer will be recognized for their contributions to the program during the meet.
