Softball Games Saturday vs. Lycoming Pushed Back to a 2:00 pm Start

Widener's home Commonwealth Conference softball doubleheader Saturday against Lycoming has been pushed back to a 2:00 pm start.
 
Widener (11-5, 3-3 CC) has won four straight games and seven of its last eight.  Freshman Angela Hood (Mullica Twp., NJ) leads the team with a .436 batting average, a .667 slugging percentage and a .511 on-base percentage.  Junior Carissa Harris (Douglassville, PA) is next with a .404 batting average and sophomore Heather Forward (Philadelphia, PA) paces the squad with 14 RBI.
 
Freshman Alexis Schengrund (Hillsborough, NJ) is 7-2 in the circle with a 0.98 ERA, 53 strikeouts and only six earned runs allowed over 45 2/3 innings.  Opponents only are hitting .165 off her and she has notched at least nine strikeouts in three of her starts this season.
