NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Widener softball team placed three student-athletes on the MAC Commonwealth All-Conference team, as announced by the conference office on Friday (May 9).
The Pride finished the 2026 season with a 12-26 overall record and a 4-10 mark in MAC Commonwealth play.
The three selections include one Second Team honoree and two Honorable Mentions.
First-year pitcher Hayden Sissons earned Second Team All-Conference MAC Commonwealth honors after a strong debut campaign in the circle. Sissons finished the season with a 5-8 record and one save while posting a 4.67 ERA across a team-high 81.0 innings pitched. She struck out 76 batters, including a season-high nine strikeouts against Penn State Brandywine on March 1, while tossing a complete-game win against York (Pa.) on March 28. At the plate, Sissons added 13 hits, 15 RBIs, four doubles, and a home run while recording a .961 fielding percentage.
First-year third baseman Hailey Hernandez received Honorable Mention recognition after batting .313 with 26 hits, 18 runs scored, nine RBIs, four doubles, and a triple across 30 games. Hernandez also stole 14 bases and posted a .932 fielding percentage with 55 assists at third base. She recorded seven multi-hit games and scored a season-high three runs against Arcadia on April 20.
Sophomore utility player Jocelin Mayorga also earned Honorable Mention honors following a season where she contributed both offensively and in the circle. At the plate, Mayorga hit .268 with 22 hits, 16 RBIs, six doubles, and two home runs, highlighted by a three-hit, three-RBI game against Stevenson on April 11. In the circle, she posted a 3-5 record with a 4.02 ERA over 38.1 innings pitched, including a complete-game victory against Immaculata on April 9 where she allowed just one run.
