Softball Once Again Splits Two in Florida

Widener closed its Florida trip at .500 with a 4-0 victory over Presentation, followed by an 8-0 loss to Hiram in Kissimmee, FL.

In its second victory of the week against Presentation, Delran, NJ sophomore Jackie Korang (3-1) struck out three over seven innings and allowed just two hits. She also contributed to the offense with a hit.

Freshman Carissa Harris (Douglassville, PA) had two hits and junior Shelby Mackintosh (Lumberton, NJ) added an RBI.

Versus Hiram, junior Casey Hargadon (Wallingford, PA) had a hit.

Hiram (6-4) this week received votes in the national Top 25 Poll after being ranked 22nd last week.

Widener (4-4) on Tuesday visits Wesley for a 3:00 pm doubleheader in Dover, DE.
