Women’s Basketball Wins Tip-Off Tournament Championship Over Host McDaniel, 80-69

On day two of McDaniel's Tip-Off Tournament, Widener faced the host in the Championship game and was victorious in the 80-69 game.

Senior Kate Dellinger (Wrightsville, PA) was a force for the Pride (2-0) on both offence and defense, leading the team with 19 points—making five-of-16 field goal attempts and shooting nine-for-nine at the line—and 12 rebounds. She also had five of Widener's 15 steals. Jennifer Egee (Ridley Park, PA) sank 16 points while Lil Carney (Narberth, PA) totaled 12 points to go with one blocked shot, four assists and two steals.

As a team, Widener had 47 rebounds to McDaniel's 40 and had nine more steals.

Carney and Dellinger each were named to the all-tournament team.

On Tuesday, November 20 at 7:00 pm Widener will host Penn State Brandywine.
