Women’s Basketball Loses 68-63 Against Juniata

Widener traveled to Center Valley, PA to take part in the Starter Pub's Tip-Off Tournament and lost a close 68-63 game to Juniata in its first game of the tournament.

Lil Carney (Narberth, PA) led the Pride (0-2) with 16 points, six assists and five steals. As a team, Widener was 19-for-24 at the line. Kate Dellinger (Wrightsville, PA) gathered nine total rebounds, including three on offense and six on defense. Joanna Persiano (Absecon, NJ) was second this game in steals with four, and added nine points of her own.

The Pride takes on Wesley on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
