Widener's softball team on Wednesday will hold its annual “Strike Out Cancer Night” during its doubleheader against Eastern, which begins at 5:00 pm.
Raffles and bake sales will be held with all proceeds benefiting the HEADstrong Foundation. This organization was created in memory of Nick Colleluori, a 2004 graduate of Ridley High School and a Hofstra lacrosse player who was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Colleluori lost his relentless battle to cancer in 2006 after a 14-month fight. University
This marks the second event in the last week Widener has hosted in support of the HEADstrong Foundation. The men's lacrosse team on April 3 welcomed varsity and junior varsity games for the cause.
