Senior Kim Dougherty (Belle Mead, NJ) had six hits on the day, but it was not enough as Widener fell 5-4 to Commonwealth Conference foe Lebanon Valley in the opener and 10-2 in the nightcap in Annville, PA.
 
Widener trailed 4-0 after three innings in game one, but managed to tie the score with three in the fourth and one in the fifth.  Dougherty roped a double to center with two out in the fourth and senior Steph Connolly (Aston, PA) followed with a two-run homer to right.  Junior Kelsey Shultz (Parker Ford, PA) kept the rally going with a single up the middle and senior Jamie Schmucker (Holmes, PA) drove her home on a double to center.
 
Dougherty singled home junior Astyn DiNorscia (Parkesburg, PA) to tie the score with two out in the fifth.
 
Kristen Palmerio, who finished 3-for-3 with three runs scored, homered to right center to lead off the bottom of the fifth to give Lebanon Valley the lead for good at 5-4.
 
Dougherty finished with three hits in the game and DiNorscia had two.
 
Val Malizzia (10-3) went six innings for the win and Laura Snyder recorded her second save.
 
After falling behind 5-0 after three innings in game two, Widener got two back in the top of the fourth.  Shultz doubled to left to score Dougherty, who led off with a single, and Schmucker hit a sacrifice fly to center, but the Pride (20-12, 4-6 CC) could not hold off Lebanon Valley.
 
Dougherty ended 3-for-3 with a double.
 
Katie Freeman had two hits and three runs scored for the Dutchmen (21-7, 9-1).  Snyder (9-2) recorded the win, striking out eight.
 
Widener on Tuesday hosts Muhlenberg for a doubleheader, beginning at 5 pm.
