Widener got the 2010 season off on the right foot by notching a 10-3, rain-shortened victory over Grove City in Orlando, FL.

Tom DeAngelis (Pottstown, PA) had three hits and four RBI to spark Widener (1-0), and fellow junior Alex Oliver (Lebanon, NJ) went 3-for-3 with an RBI.  #Dan Sieracki# (Cherry Hill, NJ) collected two hits and two RBI with fellow sophomore Sean Saverio (Horsham, PA) and junior Tom Mahoney (Norristown, PA) notching two hits apiece.

Coatesville, PA senior Dan Gross (1-0) got the victory, striking out three and yielding three unearned runs with no walks.

Originally supposed to be a doubleheader, the second game was canceled.
