Dougherty (11-2) again was at her best, notching her eighth straight win by yielding just six hits over seven scoreless innings. It was her first shutout of the season.

Jessica Climenhaga (8-6) surrendered four runs and six hits over six innings for Messiah. Bergakker went 3-for-3 in game two, closing 5-for-6 in the doubleheader.

Widener finished tied with Lebanon Valley atop the standings, but will be the No. 2 seed for next week's conference tournament by virtue of a tiebreaker.

The Pride are in action Friday at 1:00 pm against third-seeded Elizabethtown, after Lebanon Valley plays No. 4 seed Messiah at 11:00 am. The double-elimination tournament takes place on the campus of Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA.
