Amy Williamson

Amy Williamson enters her first year with the Pride in 2025-26 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.

Williamson will serve as the primary athletic trainer for men's soccer, women's volleyball, men's and women's swimming, and men's lacrosse.

Williamson joins the Pride full time after spending over a year as a part-time Assistant Athletic Triner where she covered numerous athletic teams including men’s lacrosse. While under Kennedy, Williamson aided in comprehensive healthcare services for assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play management as well as led in emergency preparation for events and team practices.

Prior to joining Widener, Williamson spent just over two years at Haverford College as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. From February 2022 to August 2024, she directed wellness initiatives and programming for athletic teams, managed budgets for athletic training, and oversaw compliance in safety, documentation, and facility standards.

A three-year stint from January 2018 to July 2021 saw Williamson at St. Joseph’s University and Main Line Health as a Club Athletic Trainer. During her time, she facilitated injury prevention and rehab services for all of St. Joseph’s club sports and community athletes, led planning and compliance for numerous campus-wide health events and outreach programs, and created protocols for event safety, risk mitigation, and emergency action plans.

Out of college, Williamson spent a year with Neumann University as an Assistant Athletic Trainer where she implemented injury tracking and reporting processes and provided coverage for club sports with a focus on preventative care, functional assessments, and individual rehab plans.

Williamson holds certifications in CPR since 2002 and as a massage therapist since 2008. From 2008 to 2011 she was a certified EMT. Training is also important to Williamson as she completed Clinical Trials Project Management and Specialized Brain Injury Training.

Williamson earned her Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from West Chester University in May of 2015.
