Alyssa Stetler

Alyssa Stetler enters her second season in Widener's Athletic Training Staff. Stetler is currenty in her second year in 2025-26 as the Assistant Athletic Trainer.

Stetler serves as the primary athletic trainer for women's scocer, field hockey, women's and men's cross country, women's and men's track and field, and softball.

Stetler comes to Widener from her most recent stint at Geisinger Sports Medicine and Orthopedics as a Certified Athletic Trainer that began in July 2022. Her time there included being an outreach trainer at Bloomsburg High School, Berwick High School. Stetler also helped with assisting physicians with scribing, removing casts, doing orthotics fitting, and patient charting in EPIC systems within the Geisinger network.
 
Mental health has become a vital importance in the collegiate athletics world and Stetler helped serve as on the Geisinger Mental Health Committee that would ensure proper training and skills necessary for assisting mental health crises and maintains updated action plans for mental health emergency with local and country crisis centers.
 
Stetler holds numerous certifications including being a certified student member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA), the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers Society (PATS), and the Eastern Athletic Trainers Association (EATA).
 
Outside of certifications, Stetler has furthered her knowledge outside the classroom at conferences and presentations such as the EATA Annual Student Symposium in 2021, 2022, and 2025 and the PATS Annual Clinical Symposium in 2022.
 
Stetler also holds a Pennslyvania State License Board Licensed Athletic Trainer and certifications in NATA BOC, Inc. as a certified athletic trainer that began in July of 2022.
 
The Bloomsberg, Pa. native earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from King's College in May of 2022 and continued her education with a Master of Exercise Science in Sport Psychology & Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention from Pennsylvania Western University in May of 2024.
