Jamie Lachall enters her fourth season as the Head Softball Coach of the Pride in 2025-26.
In 2024, the Pride had a record of 13-19 (5-9 MAC Commonwealth). The team produced two All-Conference players: infielder Paris Balilonis (second team) and catcher Alyssa Gomez (honorable mention).
In Lachall's first season in Chester in 2023, the Pride went 16-23 (4-11 MAC Commonwealth). Kaylin Johnson made All-MAC Second Team in her final season with the Pride.
Lachall has recently spent the past five years at SUNY Cortland as the assistant coach where she served as the primary pitching coach for four years. During her time as pitching coach, Lachall helped the Red Dragons go 100-60, a SUNYAC Championship, and an NCAA Regional appearance. Over the course of her coaching career, she had numerous pitchers named SUNYAC Pitcher of the Week, SUNYAC Athlete of the Week, and most notably Kelly O'Gorman's COSIDA Academic All-American. For her efforts, she was named SUNY Cortland Pitching Staff Northeast All Region in 2018, 2019, and 2021.

Outside of collegiate coaching, Lachall helped plan and implement a competitive and affordable softball program for low-income youth in Cortland, N.Y. and ran clinics and private lessons for young athletes in the Cortland and Ridley, Pa. area.

As a Red Dragon herself, Lachall spent her four years playing softball with a 42-18 record, a 2.16 ERA, five shutouts, and 173 strikeouts in her 98 appearances. Lachall sits in SUNY Cortland's top 10 in school history in wins, total innings pitched, and game appearances. As a standout player, she was named NCAA Northeast Region 2nd and 3rd team, SUNYAC Pitcher of the Week twice, Pitcher of the Year twice, and SUNY Cortland All American Players in 2021.
Lachall earned a bachelor's degree in speech and hearing science from SUNY Cortland in 2018, where she also earned her masters in sport management and administration in 2019.
