CHESTER, Pa. - Widener men's soccer picked up another win as they knocked off Delaware Valley by a final score of 2-0 at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.
With win, the Pride move to 6-2-1 on the season while improving their home record to 4-0-1.
BY THE NUMBERS
- The Pride took 28 shots while Delaware Valley 13 shots. Widener had nine shots on net while Delaware Valley had five shots.
- Max Hartke and Owen Eberman each scored a goal.
- Chemar Hamilton made five saves and posted his first clean sheet of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team could get on the board in the first half. Hamilton made one save in the period.
- Widener struck first right away in the second half. A Will Cole free kick fell to the feet of Hartke, who proceeded to slide the ball home at the 46:44 minute mark. Later in the period, the Pride scored an insurance goal as Jordi Lopez took a corner kick and Eberman headed the ball home. Neither team would score again and Widener would seal the 2-0 win.
